HAVE YOU CONNECTED TO GOD TODAY?
Take a moment to read this passage from God’s Word:
The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But I do not excuse the guilty. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations.”
Exodus 34:6-7 NLT
Challenge for the day:
Take a minute to silent your mind in a quiet space and read the passage and allow it to challenge misconceptions you may have about the Lord.
Some examples:
-the Lord is an angry God who is distant from me
-the Lord is the same God the other major religions in our city worship
-the Lord is a being that cannot be known or be near, someone to only fear or mistrust His intentions
-there seems to be a contradiction between the character of God in the old testament versus that of the new testament
