Connect to God | Not When But Who

Pastor Louis Colón

Take a moment to read this passage from God’s Word

Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:6-8

Challenge for the day

Many today are asking how long is this COVID-19 Crisis going to last. How long will the current racial tensions in our country continue to bubble over? When will this all end? I encourage you to listen to the voice of Jesus who changes the conversation when asked “when.” Jesus says, don’t be as concerned with “when,” be more concerned with “who.” Receive power from my Spirit, Jesus says, and you will be witnesses to people from those you are familiar with, and to those who look and live totally different than you. Be concerned about impacting and loving them. The “who” is more important than the “when.”

Pause and talk to God now and say “ Lord, I’m open to receiving power from heaven today, so that I may reach people around me, even those that are different than me.  In Jesus Name. Amen.”
